1. Featured Site... The Kranzco Realty Trust was one of the early pioneers in developing a web presence to support their operating business--38 shopping centers in PA, NY, NJ, CN, MD, VA and RI. Each property is described with a list of tenants, square footages, space availabilities and pictures. Of course, there are links to financial reports and press releases. Now Kranzco has added a mailing list feature to those who want to receive these press releases, quarterly reports and other news delivered automatically to their mail box--a good example of using the Internet to build a community of interest around its business.

2. New and Notable... LeaseTrend Inc., which provides lease expiration and property availability information for cities across the Midwest and Florida, posts a graph on the total square footage of lease expirations by year in each of its markets. McCary Stevens Associates, commercial mortgage underwriters in Hartford, provides extensive links to financial market resources from its home page. Signature Associates, which covers Southeastern Michigan from Southfield, features a nice market study. Stuart Mixer Commercial offers services in Las Vegas and recently hosted Real Trends 97. Podolsky and Associates, based in Chicago, specializes in office and industrial brokerage and property management.

Richard Ellis, International Property Consultants, provides excellent market snapshots for cities around the world. Van Vlissingen and Co. is a commercial developer in the Chicago area specializing in office and industrial business parks. PacTrust operates office and industrial properties in Portland, Oregon, and the Northwest. Watson Land Company, based in Los Angeles County, develops and manages a large portfolio of office and industrial centers. The ICI Office Guide is a listing service for Toronto with plans to expand into other metropolitan markets in North America. Oferta Inmobiliaria provides commercial real estate services in Montevideo and throughout Uruguay.

3. Upgraded Sites... Camden Property Trust is a REIT specializing in multi-family properties in Texas and the Southwest. FacilitiesNet, an on-line information service for facilities professionals, has opened up most of its site to the public. The Lipsey Company provides background on its training programs around the U.S. Rockrose Development owns, builds and manages in New York City.

4. Internet Growth... "The number of U.S. households with access to the Internet more than doubled to 14.7 million in the past year. As of September 1996, roughly nine million Americans logged onto the World Wide Web daily, while nearly 20 million people signed onto the Web weekly." 5. Web Success... Mortgage broker Seth Kaufman with Brownstone Financial in San Francisco uses Bloomberg Personal to track the financial markets by printing out a graph of changes from the previous day and checking the service occasionally during the day.
