Paradymes excellent site demonstrates how an effective web presence can enhance a marketing program. Coldwell Banker Commercial Van Schaack offers brokerage services in Denver, CO. 2. WEB SUCCESS. Que Martyn, who operates the National Real Estate Exchange Network, and Joe Silvestro of Charles Burt Realtors in Joplin, Missouri sold a $1.7 million apartment building in Joplin to a Nebraska REIT. Que, who is based in Hawaii, presented the property to buyers primarily originated from his web site. He never met the actual buyer or seller or saw the property. Both Que and Joe agreed that without the Internet, this transaction would not have occurred. 3. REAL ESTATE NEWS ON THE WEB. How has the traditional real estate print media reacted to the growing importance of the web? Most publications have developed a web site and, unless they have sold electronic publication rights, are moving aggressively to publish content on the web. These are a few examples. The Internet Review Online, features daily news stories and the full text of its monthly publications, the National Real Estate Investor, Commercial Real Estate South, Midwest Real Estate News, and Shopping Center World. Commercial Property News posts about a dozen "Breaking Stories" every Monday and all "front page" stories from the current and archived issues. American City Business Journals has announced the coming of its new Real Estate Journal with local news from around the country available each Monday. There are a number of other web-only news services which will be covered in a later PikeNet Dispatch. 4. CAREERS/RESUMES.
